EECD Senior Officer – Beirut

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an EECD Senior Officer to lead the design, adaptation, and quality implementation of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) programmes in Beirut. Reporting to the EECD Senior Technical Manager, you will provide hands‑on technical support to ensure programmes meet IRC standards and achieve measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt EECD curricula, tools, and learning materials to local contexts.
• Identify programme gaps and propose technical solutions, integrating EECD approaches across community‑based, hybrid, and remote delivery platforms.
• Conduct regular field visits, assess implementation quality, and provide coaching and technical support to facilitators.
• Establish and roll out a coaching and supportive supervision system for front‑line staff.
• Document findings, lessons learned, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support data review processes in coordination with MEAL teams to inform adaptive programming.
• Prepare, deliver, and monitor trainings and capacity‑building sessions for facilitators, teachers, and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and adapting EECD curricula and learning materials.
• Experience conducting field visits and providing technical coaching to programme staff.
• Background in delivering trainings and capacity‑strengthening activities for education partners.
