Project Officer – Humanitarian Programme

About the role

The Project Officer will support day‑to‑day implementation and monitoring of DRC programmes in South Lebanon, focusing on Economic Recovery, Shelter, Cash & Voucher Assistance and Protection activities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement assigned programme activities in line with approved workplans, targets and technical guidance.
• Conduct needs, market and other assessments and submit findings to the Programme Team Leader.
• Support beneficiary registration, selection, verification and coordinate cash payments.
• Maintain regular field presence, engage communities, identify protection concerns and facilitate safe referrals.
• Monitor activity progress, ensure compliance with SOPs, document quality issues and prepare progress updates.
• Track resource requirements, prepare cost estimates, procurement inputs and flag budget gaps.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of field experience with a humanitarian or development organisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social sciences, international development, economics, engineering, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of South Lebanon and experience working with local authorities and displaced communities.
• Understanding of protection mainstreaming, safeguarding, accountability and confidential data handling.
• Professional working proficiency in Arabic and English.
