Patient Services Specialist – Part/Full‑Time Shifts

About the role

The Patient Services Specialist will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling inbound and outbound calls, preparing medical charts, and providing timely assistance with questions and concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with patients via phone calls, answering inquiries about services, appointments, and general questions.
• Make outbound calls for appointment reminders, follow‑ups, and reroute calls within the practice.
• Collect and organize patients' medical information to create accurate, up‑to‑date charts.
• Assist patients with scheduling, obtaining medical records, and navigating healthcare procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and enter data into electronic systems.
• Issue prior authorizations to insurance companies as needed.

Required profile

• Professional proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a compassionate approach.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Prior experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred, but training will be provided.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer data entry.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
