Outpatient Billing Officer

About the role

The Outpatient Billing Officer will support the new Outpatient Clinics and Diagnostic Center by handling patient documentation, authorizations, and billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

Key responsibilities

• Receive patients’ documents via WhatsApp, secure authorizations using an online interface, and log information.
• Inform patients about authorization status and request additional information as needed.
• Register patients in the HIS system, verify IDs and documents for completeness.
• Check third‑party payer coverage, obtain authorizations for walk‑in patients, and prepare invoices.
• Conduct daily audits of invoices and payer documents, coordinating delivery with the Outpatient Center coordinator.
• Answer telephone inquiries, refer callers appropriately, and handle patient service questions.

Required profile

• BA degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in outpatient billing.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic; French is a plus.
