Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Supervisor supports the Chief Engineer in managing budgets, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance and energy conservation across the hotel’s engineering departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of engineering and related departments, coordinating with other hotel areas.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, safety standards, and proper functioning of guest room and public area systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, etc.).
• Monitor energy usage, propose conservation ideas, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain logs, and keep engineering areas clean and organized.
• Provide training, technical advice, and support to engineering staff.

Required profile

• Lebanese nationality with vocational school education.
• 3 to 7 years of experience as an engineering technician, preferably in a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong teamwork, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent in local language and English; additional languages a plus.

Required skills

• Plumbing and drainage repair.
• HVAC system maintenance.
• Electrical work including switches, outlets, and lamp replacement.
• Fire alarm, life safety, sprinkler and emergency power system knowledge.
• Energy conservation monitoring.
• Tool maintenance and inventory control.
• Meter and gauge reading and logging.
