Legal Counselor – INGO Registration in Lebanon

About the role

Pathfinder International is seeking an experienced Legal Counselor to lead the registration of its new International Non‑Governmental Organization (INGO) branch in Lebanon. The consultant will provide end‑to‑end legal guidance, ensuring full compliance with Lebanese laws governing foreign non‑profit entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit all required documentation to Lebanese authorities for INGO registration.
• Obtain necessary governmental approvals, authorizations, and registrations.
• Advise on legal, regulatory, labor, tax, and operational requirements specific to foreign NGOs.
• Develop a legally compliant operational framework for Pathfinder International’s activities in Lebanon.
• Monitor ongoing compliance and liaise with relevant authorities throughout the registration process.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in registering NGOs or foreign non‑profit entities in Lebanon.
• Proven track record of successful engagement with Lebanese government bodies.
• Strong understanding of Lebanese corporate, labor, and tax law as they apply to international NGOs.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results within a 4–6 month timeframe.
