Inventory Management SME – Telecom Project Lead

About the role

The Inventory Management SME will lead and manage inventory management activities for a telecom project based in Damascus, Syria. The role requires relocation and focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, scalability, and successful delivery throughout the program lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Inventory Management SME operational and technical activities for the telecom project.
• Support IMS procurement, testing, acceptance and integration with other systems.
• Coordinate system upgrades and maintain IMS functionality throughout the program and beyond.
• Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders, providing technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with telecom industry standards, project governance, and operational procedures.
• Review program progress, verify accurate and timely asset inventory recording.
• Prepare technical reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
• Support planning, implementation, testing, optimization, and handover activities.
• Conduct risk assessments, issue resolution, and escalation management.
• Participate in technical reviews, audits, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Support process improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 5–15 years of experience in telecom infrastructure, operations, or project management.
• Experience working with telecom operators, vendors, system integrators, or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, reporting, stakeholder management and coordination abilities.
