Head of Community Center – Ain Al Remaneh

About the role

Amel Association International, in partnership with UNHCR, seeks a dynamic leader to head its Community Center in Ain Al Remaneh, Beirut. The role oversees the delivery of education, psychosocial, vocational, IT and livelihood services to refugees, asylum seekers and other persons of concern.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and monitor all Community Center activities in line with the project agreement, work plan and approved standards.
• Ensure compliance with Amel policies, UNHCR priorities, donor requirements and the organization’s Code of Conduct.
• Supervise a multidisciplinary team that includes social workers, logistics staff, vocational and IT trainers, and livelihood trainers.
• Monitor quality and progress of activities, set implementation priorities and propose corrective actions.
• Oversee resource allocation, financial follow‑up, reporting and representation of the Center.
• Promote effective collaboration across sectors and maintain strong networking with partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing community‑based projects or centers.
• Familiarity with UNHCR policies and humanitarian standards.
• Ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.
