Finance & Operations Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to lead the financial and supply‑chain functions of our manufacturing business in Abidjan. The role combines strategic oversight of daily operations with rigorous financial management to ensure cost‑effective production aligned with our food‑industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities across production, finance, R&D and supply‑chain teams, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies and procedures that support business objectives and drive KPI performance.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and financial reports; analyse variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with accounting on costing, inventory valuation and financial compliance.
• Manage procurement, inventory control, logistics and vendor relationships; negotiate contracts while ensuring food‑safety compliance.
• Optimize supply‑chain operations to reduce waste, lower costs and improve lead times.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, GMP and other local/international food‑safety regulations; support internal and external audits.
• Lead, mentor and develop department managers and their teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in finance and operations management, preferably within manufacturing or food‑industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Deep understanding of supply‑chain processes, procurement and inventory management.
• Familiarity with food‑safety regulations such as HACCP, ISO and GMP.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and leadership abilities.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
