Finance Officer – Budgeting, Planning & Reporting

About the role

The Finance Officer provides financial support to all Save the Children International programmes in Lebanon. The role ensures accurate, timely financial information, assists budget holders, and supports budgeting, planning and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue monthly consolidated Budget vs Actuals (BVA) for all active awards.
• Create new BVAs for new awards, load Source of Funds (SoF) budgets into the accounting system, assign budget holders and align with the Award Management System (AMS).
• Review the general ledger to ensure expenses comply with SCI and donor requirements.
• Assist the Finance Coordinator in preparing donor financial reports and ensure timely delivery.
• Verify partner expenditures, pre‑financing account reconciliations and maintain the Sub‑Award Tracker (SAT).
• Conduct partnership assessments, approve Area Office partner payments and support budget revisions, extensions and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly salary allocations, attend award review meetings and support award kick‑off and close‑out sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
• Minimum 2 years of finance‑related work experience.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic communication skills.
