Dispatcher – Logistics and Fleet Coordination

About the role

The Dispatcher coordinates and schedules deliveries, supervises drivers, monitors vehicle routes and fuel expenses, and ensures products arrive on time and accurately. The role also oversees returned goods, loading and offloading, and the receipt of goods, keeping logistics efficient and compliant with company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to the right locations according to schedules, customer requests or urgent needs.
• Relay work orders and messages between crews, inspectors, supervisors and emergency personnel.
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory, and prepare daily schedules and work orders.
• Follow up drivers' fuel expenses and supervise drivers using GPS to meet delivery time frames.
• Ensure goods arrive in good condition, check returned orders before approval, and verify that returned items match the packing list.
• Keep drivers' vehicles clean and tidy, and ensure proper delivery to clients.
• Plan the dispatch schedule for the next day to manage time and costs.
• Supervise loading and offloading, and receive goods from suppliers and other warehouses.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation or warehouse operations.
• Organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, time management and the ability to work under pressure.
