Head of Supply Chain - FMCG

About the role

A company is looking for a Head of Supply Chain for its FMCG business. The role sets the supply chain direction and priorities in line with commercial plans, service needs and financial targets, and leads the development of common processes and standards across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead demand forecasting, supply planning and replenishment, considering sales plans, promotions, seasonality and new products.
• Lead the S&OP process with Sales, Marketing, Finance and country teams to align demand, supply, stock and budgets.
• Set stock levels and replenishment rules balancing availability, shelf life and working capital.
• Review costs, service levels and capacity across countries and identify ways to share resources and improve the distribution network.
• Lead improvement projects from idea and business case through to implementation and results measurement.
• Oversee owned and outsourced warehouses, order handling, storage and distribution.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including international freight, imports, customs clearance, transport providers and delivery routing.
• Lead the selection and rollout of WMS and other supply chain systems, and work with IT and country teams on ERP, transport and planning tools.
• Prepare and manage supply chain budgets and control warehouse, freight and transport costs while protecting service levels.
• Lead and develop the direct reporting team, working with country supply chain leads on priorities, performance and skills.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain, with strong FMCG distribution and senior operational leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field; MBA or master's in supply chain is a plus.
• Experience across several markets and influencing country teams in a matrix organization.
• Proven results in owned and outsourced operations, service and cost.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proven experience leading a WMS or similar major supply chain system rollout.
• Good knowledge of ERP, reporting and data analysis.
• Manufacturing supply planning experience is an advantage.
