Cost Controller – Telecom Projects

About the role

The Cost Controller will join a telecom infrastructure team in Damascus, overseeing financial performance across all project phases. You will ensure budgets are adhered to, provide accurate cost reporting, and support strategic decision‑making through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and control CAPEX/OPEX budgets for OSP, ISP, DC and Exchange projects.
• Track actual costs, commitments and forecasts; conduct variance, trend and earned‑value analysis.
• Validate BOQs, quantities and contractor submissions before invoicing.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity and resource utilization.
• Assess financial impact of change requests, scope variations and route modifications.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc cost reports for internal and client stakeholders.
• Maintain cost databases, dashboards and financial models using Excel, Power BI and ERP systems.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting and financial planning throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with procurement, contracts, material management and project controls to ensure data consistency.
• Identify cost risks, gaps and discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in cost control, project controls or financial management within telecom or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of CAPEX/OPEX planning and financial reporting practices.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and client portals.
