Cluster MHPSS Senior Specialist (TeamUp, FamilyPlay)

About the role

The MHPSS Senior Specialist will ensure coordinated, high‑quality implementation of War Child’s Evidence‑Based Methods (EBMs) across a cluster of partners in Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan and Ukraine. The role translates strategic guidance into context‑relevant support, oversees quality assurance, and drives adaptive learning at cluster level.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cluster‑level oversight of thematic quality assurance for EBM integration, ensuring delivery meets high standards.
• Coordinate and prioritize specialist support within the cluster, advising on resource allocation.
• Lead adaptive learning cycles, develop learning agendas, and document lessons to inform practice and strategy.
• Strengthen partner capacity through training, mentoring and scalable learning approaches.
• Represent War Child’s EBM Care System portfolio externally, building sector credibility and influencing policy.
• Support MEAL processes, ensure compliance with Quality of Care indicators, and provide surge support in emergencies.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in a related field.
• Experience in MHPSS or similar thematic area within humanitarian or post‑conflict contexts.
• Proven track record in programme design, needs assessment, learning cycles and quality assurance.
• Experience co‑creating and delivering programmes with partners.
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Arabic, Dari, French, Spanish or Ukrainian are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of quality standards, evidence‑based programming and MEAL integration.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectoral integration (Education, Child Protection, MHPSS).
• Familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Mural, Miro, SharePoint and MS Teams.
