Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to lead the accounting operations of a leading steel manufacturing entity in Beirut. This full‑time, on‑site position will oversee the financial reporting, compliance, and tax responsibilities for an overseas operating entity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare statutory financial statements.
• Analyse financial data to support management decision‑making.
• Ensure timely and compliant tax filings in accordance with local regulations.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA, CMA or MBA is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex spreadsheets and turn data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Expert‑level Excel skills.
