Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant leads the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations. This senior position works closely with senior management and external auditors to support strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, weekly cash‑flow statements, and monthly payroll.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes and coordinate with auditors.
• Develop the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monitor cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure optimal terms.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage stock depreciation, and ensure proper IT system utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–8 years of full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end/year‑end closing, budgeting, and QBR processes.
• Fluency in French is mandatory.
