Business Development Representative – Sustainability

About the role

Tracera is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to help expand its customer base in the sustainability space. You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, introducing Tracera’s AI‑powered platform that helps manufacturers measure and reduce carbon emissions across their supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect target accounts through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking, and industry events.
• Generate qualified meetings for the Account Executive team.
• Research prospective customers to understand their sustainability, ESG, supply chain, and manufacturing initiatives.
• Develop personalized outreach campaigns tailored to senior executives.
• Build relationships with sustainability leaders, operations executives, procurement, finance, and supply chain teams.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales activity.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to refine messaging and prospecting strategies.
• Stay informed on sustainability regulations, carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and manufacturing trends.

Required profile

• 2+ years of Business Development, Sales Development, or related B2B SaaS experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainability, ESG, climate technology, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with C‑level and senior executives.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to quickly grasp technical concepts.
