Assistant Branch Manager – Banking Operations

About the role

The Islamic Bank is seeking a motivated Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in daily operations at our Mazraa location in Beirut. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality banking services, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Islamic banking standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations and activities.
• Supervise and support branch staff, monitoring performance and providing guidance.
• Ensure efficient delivery of banking services and maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Support the achievement of branch business targets.
• Monitor cash operations, transactions, and daily balancing.
• Review and authorize transactions within assigned approval limits.
• Ensure compliance with BDL regulations, AML/KYC requirements, internal policies, procedures, and Islamic banking principles.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints and escalated issues.
• Monitor operational controls, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audit requirements and recommendations.
• Assist in preparing branch reports and monitoring operational performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant banking experience, with prior branch banking/operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of banking procedures, customer service, and operational controls.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
