Technology Purchasing Officer

About the role

Amaken is looking for a Technology Purchasing Officer to join its fast‑growing technology and engineering team in Zahle, Lebanon. The role is essential for ensuring timely, cost‑effective procurement of servers, networking equipment, software licenses, peripherals and other technology components.

Key responsibilities

• Research, identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for hardware, software and electronic components.
• Conduct market research and price benchmarking to develop competitive procurement strategies.
• Obtain, compare and analyse quotations from multiple vendors to support best‑value purchasing decisions.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties and after‑sales support.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics for domestic and international shipments, including freight, customs clearance and delivery.
• Manage purchase order creation, invoice verification and approval processes, ensuring timely supplier payments.
• Conduct supplier onboarding, qualification and performance monitoring against KPIs.
• Maintain and regularly update pricing databases, approved vendor lists and related documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms.
• Experience coordinating logistics and handling import/export documentation.
• Strong understanding of procurement financial processes, including PO creation and invoice reconciliation.
• Capability to monitor market trends, product availability and pricing fluctuations in the technology sector.
