Solar Technical Engineer

About the role

KBE Energy is looking for an experienced Solar Technical Engineer to support its Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business across Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. The engineer will act as the technical expert for customers, suppliers and the commercial team throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, specifications and customer technical requirements.
• Develop optimized Solar PV and BESS technical solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance documents and engineering documentation.
• Perform preliminary system sizing, equipment selection and system configuration.
• Support the commercial team during customer meetings and technical presentations.
• Respond to technical clarifications during the bidding stage.
• Coordinate technical discussions with international suppliers.
• Evaluate new technologies and products.
• Support project handover to execution teams.
• Assist during commissioning, troubleshooting and after‑sales technical support.
• Coordinate warranty‑related technical matters with suppliers.
• Deliver internal technical training and maintain engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in Solar PV and/or BESS.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV, BESS, inverters, MV/LV systems and balance of system equipment.
• Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
