Shadow Teacher

About the role

Medischool is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Shadow Teacher to work in its Beirut location. The role provides individualized in‑class support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs, helping them engage with the curriculum, participate in classroom activities, and develop social and academic skills.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lesson plans and break down tasks into manageable steps.
• Offer discreet, one‑on‑one guidance to foster student independence and confidence.
• Observe, document, and report student progress regularly.
• Implement behavior and learning strategies recommended by specialists.
• Communicate consistently with educational and clinical teams.
• Participate in training sessions, case meetings, and family consultations as needed.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge in education and child development, preferably with experience in inclusive or special‑education settings.
• Proven ability to provide one‑on‑one classroom support to students with varied learning and behavioral profiles.
• Experience in lesson planning and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience such as ABA training).
• Experience with children who have learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, or behavioral challenges is strongly preferred.
• Calm, patient, empathetic approach with strong classroom‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in Arabic, French and English is an asset.
