Senior Technical Office Engineer – Tendering Specialist

About the role

Lavajet is seeking a Senior Technical Office Engineer to lead tendering activities and provide technical support for waste‑management projects across the MENA region. Based in Lebanon, you will work from the head office and travel as needed to support bid preparation and post‑award contract phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and tender opportunities.
• Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of tender proposals in line with client requirements and internal policies.
• Perform quality checks, analyse legal, commercial and technical risks, and ensure version control of bid documents.
• Liaise with internal departments, procurement and finance to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing structures.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies and tender pipelines, especially in GCC countries.
• Develop detailed technical submissions during post‑tender phases, incorporating design, value engineering, optimisation and waste‑treatment options.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• More than 10 years of experience in civil/environmental projects, tendering, design or construction, preferably in GCC countries.
• Experience in waste‑management projects is highly valued.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with solid‑waste technical processes and client‑facing presentations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• AutoCAD.
