Senior Python Back‑End Engineer

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a Senior Back‑End Engineer with strong Python expertise to help build and enhance its online trading platforms. You will work with a multinational team to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable services that support a fast‑growing fintech business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, designers and other engineers to design and implement new features and products.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, architecture diagrams and clean code.
• Present implementations to technical leads and the CTO, and incorporate feedback.
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure code meets quality, security, modifiability and extensibility standards.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns and suggest refactoring.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 + years of professional software development experience with Python (PHP experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, SDLC and service‑oriented architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, micro‑services, containerisation, and cloud‑native tooling.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka), websockets, Kubernetes, Terraform/Helm.
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI tools (Jenkins).
• Good knowledge of web security best practices.
