Roadworks Estimating Engineer

About the role

The Roadworks Estimating Engineer will support our overseas tendering team from our Lebanon office, delivering accurate quantity take‑offs, bills of quantities and pricing support for road construction packages. You will work closely with the international team to meet tender deadlines and ensure high‑quality estimating documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity take‑offs from civil design drawings, cross‑sections and specifications for earthworks, pavements, storm‑water drainage, kerb & gutter, and related civil works.
• Prepare structured, auditable bills of quantities aligned with tender schedules and international measurement conventions.
• Identify gaps or ambiguities in tender documents, log RFIs and coordinate with the overseas team.
• Assist in building first‑pass cost estimates using provided rates, production factors and crew/plant assumptions.
• Maintain version‑controlled take‑off files and estimating records on SharePoint and attend virtual tender meetings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, checklists and workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in roadworks, highways or civil infrastructure estimating, quantity surveying or site engineering.
• Strong civil engineering fundamentals and a detail‑oriented approach.
• Ability to work across time zones and communicate effectively with an international team.
