Protection PSS Facilitator (GBV) – Bekaa

About the role

The Protection PSS Facilitator will work on the ground in the Bekaa region, supporting the International Rescue Committee’s protection team. The role focuses on outreach, enrollment of adolescent girls in the Girl Shine program, and the collection of high‑quality data while respecting confidentiality and dignity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach activities to identify and engage adolescent girls for the Girl Shine program, ensuring inclusivity and protection sensitivity.
• Collect and manage data securely, maintaining confidentiality and dignity of respondents.
• Submit daily highlights, notes, and case updates to the supervisor and produce daily activity reports.
• Identify and share protection risks and trends with IRC staff for timely response.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to coordinate protection activities and referrals.
• Participate in capacity‑building trainings and coaching sessions organized by IRC.

Required profile

• Effective communication skills with children, youth, and adults.
• Ability to work under pressure and gather information objectively and sensitively.
• Respect for beneficiaries’ cultures and traditions.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience facilitating psychosocial support, community engagement, or awareness sessions.
• Experience working with children and caregivers is an asset.
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of technology, such as tablet operation.
