Project Manager - Architecture

About the role

The Architectural Project Manager leads building design projects from concept through construction documents, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Acting as the primary client liaison, the role balances technical delivery with client expectations while upholding the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project budgets and manage resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collect and analyse client requirements, maintain client relations, and communicate progress, issues, and risks.
• Create and maintain project management plans, including schedule baselines, scope baselines, man‑hour estimates, quality plans, budgets and risk registers.
• Lead internal and external kick‑off meetings, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
• Manage design teams across concept, schematic, design development and construction document phases.
• Coordinate with technical design leads to resolve client technical issues and obtain necessary approvals.
• Integrate designs from structural, mechanical, electrical, transportation and other disciplines.
• Support quantity surveying activities, preparing tender documents such as BOQs, specifications and contract conditions.
• Oversee sub‑consultants, ensuring deliverables meet scope, schedule and budget constraints.
• Apply quality assurance procedures, conduct design verification, peer reviews and client/authority design validation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing building design or architectural projects.
• Strong ability to develop and control project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a track record of maintaining client satisfaction.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with external consultants.
• Solid understanding of risk management, quality assurance and procurement processes in the construction sector.
