Production Supervisor – Sauce

About the role

The Production Supervisor for the sauce line will organise the production floor, oversee mixing, filling and labelling operations, and ensure that finished products meet quality standards. This role coordinates daily activities, manages inventory, and supports a safe, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the production floor and supervise operators on mixing, filling and labelling lines.
• Communicate with the store keeper to confirm availability of packaging materials and adjust weekly requirements.
• Complete daily production reports, verify pasteuriser content, and send data to the data‑entry officer.
• Monitor machine start‑up, check production paperwork, and ensure correct pallet labelling using MepticoApp.
• Control inventory of end‑product packaging, prepare weekly and yearly stock‑correction sheets for accounting.
• Maintain sufficient cleaning chemicals and sanitary equipment for staff.
• Report equipment and employee issues to maintenance and production planning supervisors, and follow up until resolved.
• Enforce hygiene and safety standards, coordinate staffing levels, and train new workers.
• Record daily fuel and water consumption in Excel for analysis.

Required profile

• Experience supervising production floor staff and evaluating performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with store keepers, warehouse personnel and maintenance teams.
• Strong organisational skills to manage inventory, schedules and daily reporting.
• Commitment to safety, hygiene and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MepticoApp for pallet tracking.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for data recording and analysis.
