Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our BanoPuratos team in Bshamoun, Lebanon. The role supports the Procurement Manager in delivering value‑for‑money purchases, managing stock levels and ensuring smooth supply chain operations for our high‑quality bakery and pastry ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Procurement Manager in developing and executing the department’s strategic plan.
• Prepare and submit stock analysis reports, incorporating item movement and feedback from Area Sales Managers.
• Coordinate the requisition process by reviewing pro‑formas and quotations, issuing purchase orders and related procurement documents.
• Maintain accurate purchase order details, including quantities, due dates, special instructions and terms.
• Verify current inventory levels, prevent gaps and produce daily procurement cycle reports.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date supplier database with accurate information.
• Arrange insurance for upcoming shipments to avoid damage or loss in transit.
• Ensure special orders are signed by customers and recorded in the ERP system.
• Provide Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets to customers upon request.
• Review customs documents, coordinate with shipping agencies and resolve discrepancies to avoid demurrage fees.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding order status, specifications and inquiries.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in stock management or goods purchasing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; Master’s in Logistics is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of procurement cycles, policies and procedures.
• Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and produce accurate reports.
• Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
