National Programme Officer – Immigration & Border Governance

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Programme Officer to support the implementation of immigration and border governance programmes in Lebanon. Working under the Head of Programmes and the Programme Manager (IBG), you will focus on government liaison, coordination and capacity development for Lebanese authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring operational, administrative and financial aspects of projects in line with IOM policies and donor requirements.
• Maintain liaison with ministries and security agencies, including the Ministry of Interior, General Security Directorate, Internal Security Forces, Civil Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense and the Lebanese Armed Forces.
• Support programme implementation, ensuring effective collaboration between IOM units and external counterparts.
• Contribute to the development of border infrastructure, identity management systems and humanitarian border management activities.

Required profile

• Open to internal and external candidates; internal‑equivalent and external women candidates are considered first‑tier.
