Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Futurate is seeking a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, administer and support Microsoft 365 and on‑premises infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, security and operational excellence across hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, support and maintain Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune.
• Manage hybrid Microsoft environments, connecting on‑premises infrastructure with Microsoft 365.
• Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services and related services.
• Configure and maintain Azure AD Connect synchronization.
• Manage identity, authentication and access solutions including SSO, MFA and Conditional Access.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell scripting.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity and security.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Perform system patching, upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Collaborate with security, networking and application teams on infrastructure initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience managing Microsoft infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Proven experience with Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting hybrid identity and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
