MHPSS and Protection Coordinator – Beirut

About the role

The MHPSS and Protection Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of mental health, psychosocial support and protection strategies for PUI’s mission in Lebanon. The role ensures programme quality, builds capacity of technical teams and represents PUI to authorities, donors and humanitarian partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt operational strategies for MHPSS and Protection based on contextual analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate programme activities, identify strengths and weaknesses, and propose adjustments.
• Provide technical support to specialists, project managers and field staff to ensure high‑quality interventions.
• Represent PUI in protection, GBV and MHPSS clusters, working groups and meetings with partners and donors.
• Support recruitment, training and capacity‑building plans for MHPSS and Protection teams, including clinical supervision of psychologists.
• Ensure compliance with logistic, administrative and security procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology, psychiatry, mental health or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience implementing MHPSS programmes and at least 2 years clinical practice.
• At least 3 years experience managing protection programmes, including design, implementation and monitoring.
• Proven experience in humanitarian or development settings, preferably with crisis‑affected populations.
• Strong knowledge of international protection and GBV standards and relevant humanitarian law.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IASC Guidelines on MHPSS in Emergency Settings.
• Knowledge of IASC Guidelines on GBV in Emergency.

What we offer

• Monthly gross salary ranging from 2,650 EUR to 2,970 EUR, plus a 50 EUR per semester allowance.
