Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Java Software Engineer with at least three years of professional experience to join our development team in Beirut. The role focuses on building and enhancing an automated testing library that supports enterprise‑grade financial applications within the capital markets sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java‑based software components.
• Extend and improve an automated testing framework used across financial applications.
• Create reusable libraries and utilities to boost test automation efficiency.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, scalable object‑oriented code.
• Write and execute automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in applications and test suites.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and other technical stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best‑practice development standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on Java development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Java programming language.
• Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Unit testing and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium).
• Build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
