IT Security Officer

About the role

GlobeMed Group, the leading Healthcare Benefits Management company in the MENA region, is seeking an experienced IT Security Officer. You will be responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information across the organization by implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 aligned security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a documented Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches using SIEM and EDR tools, and respond to incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments with tools such as Qualys Guard, Nessus, and Accunetics.
• Manage security appliances including Web Application Firewall, NGFW, IPS, and WAF.
• Coordinate ISMS implementation, corrective actions, and management reviews.
• Oversee access control, identity and privilege management, and patch management.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external certifying authorities to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• 3‑7 years of experience in information security or related fields.
• Professional security certification (CISSP or CISM).
• Proven ability to handle security incidents and conduct audits.

Required skills

• ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 20000 standards.
• Security tools: SIEM, EDR, Qualys Guard, Nessus, Accunetics.
• Network security devices: Web Application Firewall, NGFW, IPS, WAF.
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Office 365 security, Email security.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
