Intern – Josour Initiative Platform Management

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is seeking an intern to support the Josour Initiative, a regional platform that connects youth with employment, training and development opportunities across the Arab region. The intern will work closely with the Josour team to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to the platform’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and updating partner inputs, announcements, and opportunity listings on the platform.
• Support partners in posting job, training and internship opportunities.
• Guide youth users in navigating the platform and answer their queries.
• Respond to opportunity‑seeker questions under supervision.
• Review platform functionality and user experience, proposing enhancements.
• Conduct research related to youth empowerment and the Josour initiative.
• Undertake additional tasks as required to advance initiative objectives.

Required profile

• Must meet the eligibility criteria of the United Nations Internship Programme.
• Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
• Strong interest in youth empowerment, social development and platform management.
