Human Resources Director – Strategic HR Leader

About the role

Medco, a centennial petroleum company operating across Lebanon, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to shape the future of its workforce. This senior role will drive HR strategy, culture transformation, and talent management in a fast‑growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission, values, and long‑term goals.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs to attract and keep top talent.
• Create and manage performance evaluation systems and employee development programs.
• Ensure compliance with Lebanese labor regulations and uphold HR best practices.
• Drive employee engagement and culture change through the MEDCO Academy and internal communications.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all people‑related matters.
• Monitor HR metrics and produce reports to support leadership decision‑making.
• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of Lebanese labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in change management and scaling HR functions in a growing organization.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
• Fluency in three languages is required.
