Geospatial Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

AKTEK Inc is seeking a Geospatial Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to design and implement algorithms that detect security anomalies in geospatial datasets. You will work with a diverse set of public and private sector clients, turning raw location data into actionable intelligence for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop scalable algorithms for anomaly detection on geospatial data.
• Integrate external geospatial and LLM APIs (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, ArcGIS, etc.) into back‑end data pipelines.
• Process large‑scale datasets using Python and geospatial libraries, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with remote, multi‑timezone teams to deliver robust, production‑ready solutions.
• Maintain and improve codebase, adhering to security‑first best practices.

Required profile

• Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, and geospatial analytics.
• Strong command of English and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
