Financial Reporting & Audit Compliance Manager

About the role

The Finance Corporate Affairs Department seeks a seasoned professional to lead financial reporting and audit compliance for LAU, its hospitals, and subsidiaries. Based primarily on the Byblos campus, the role involves regular interaction with the Beirut campus and affiliated entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including consolidation and reporting.
• Prepare and validate financial statements, notes, disclosures and supporting schedules under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Coordinate external audit engagements, serve as primary contact for auditors, and manage audit planning and responses.
• Maintain and enhance the internal control framework, conduct control testing and oversee remediation.
• Identify control gaps, reporting risks and process inefficiencies, recommending practical improvements.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory guidance, implementing updates as needed.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.
• Drive initiatives to automate workflows, improve data quality and support system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting/financial reporting and audit experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS and internal control practices.
• Proven experience managing external audits and internal control programs.
