Finance Project Manager

About the role

The Finance Project Manager will lead the financial management of Medair’s country programme in Lebanon, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with donor and organisational requirements, and effective stewardship of resources. Reporting to the Programme Development Coordinator, the role bridges finance and programme strategy to support timely decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finance and accounting functions for the country programme, ensuring transaction processing, liquidity, budget adherence and compliance with Medair and donor guidelines.
• Support programme teams by preparing budgets, forecasting spend and monitoring grants.
• Provide training to staff on finance systems and processes.
• Implement and monitor anti‑fraud procedures, conduct regular inspections and spot‑checks.
• Line‑manage designated finance team members, fostering a transparent and inclusive work environment.
• Provide matrix management to field finance staff.
• Ensure compliance with host‑government tax requirements and reporting.
• Prepare for and support internal and external financial audits.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional accounting or finance certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Relevant experience in financial management, budgeting, reporting and accounting.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is desirable.
