Finance Associate – UNFPA, Bishkek (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Finance Associate provides financial advice and services to internal and external clients of UNFPA in Bishkek. Working under the Operations Manager, the incumbent ensures that UNFPA’s budget and programme activities are managed effectively and in line with UNFPA financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support monitoring of programme financial performance, providing analysis of implementation rates and flagging over‑ or under‑expenditure.
• Develop and maintain mechanisms for tracking programme and project budgets.
• Compile, verify and report financial data in accordance with UNFPA guidelines.
• Advise programme and project staff on financial rules, procedures and best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets and forecasts.

Required profile

• Nationality: Kyrgyzstan.
• Knowledge of UNFPA financial regulations, rules, guidelines and processes.
• Client‑oriented, results‑focused attitude.
• Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures accurately.
