Field Medical Coordinator – National (North Lebanon)

About the role

The Field Medical Coordinator supports RI‑backed Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs) across northern Lebanon. Working under the Health Coordinator, the role ensures that clinical services meet Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and WHO quality standards while providing technical mentorship to health staff.

Key responsibilities

• Implement LPSP components at PHCCs in line with MoPH policies and WHO guidelines.
• Review and approve diagnostic test requests and monitor prescription practices for rational use.
• Engage physicians to discuss clinical guidelines, patient management, and treatment plans.
• Monitor service quality, identify gaps, and ensure completeness of medical records and Health Information System (HIS) documentation.
• Coordinate early warning systems for disease outbreaks and support timely investigations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to promote rational medicine use.
• Plan and conduct regular field visits, aligning with program work plans.
• Provide technical input on procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables.
• Track daily project implementation and flag operational or clinical challenges to the Health Coordinator.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) clinical guidelines.
• Familiarity with WHO health standards.
• Experience with Health Information Systems (HIS) and medical record management.
