Fashion Design Program Coordinator

About the role

The Lebanese American University seeks an energetic academic leader to coordinate its Fashion Design program. Reporting to the Department Chair, the coordinator will guide curriculum development, faculty activities, and student experiences, ensuring alignment with NASAD standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership for the Fashion Design program.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and continuous improvement, ensuring NASAD accreditation compliance.
• Develop innovative courses and promote experimental design pedagogy.
• Plan and coordinate course offerings in collaboration with faculty and stakeholders.
• Assist in faculty recruitment, appointments, and professional development.
• Organize program activities such as student orientations, lecture series, workshops, and the annual fashion show.
• Prepare and manage the program’s budget, addressing faculty needs, equipment, and strategic priorities.
• Represent the program within the School, the University, and external academic and professional communities.
• Teach in the candidate’s area of expertise with a reduced teaching load of 15 credits per year.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Fashion Design or a closely related field.
• Strong record in teaching, professional practice, and/or academic administration.
• Demonstrated administrative experience in higher education or the fashion industry.
• Familiarity with the NASAD accreditation process.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a collaborative, inclusive style.
