About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an Emergency Cash Support Officer to join its finance team in Beirut. The role supports the delivery of timely cash assistance to beneficiaries affected by crises, ensuring all financial processes are accurate and compliant.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and process bank letters and transfers based on complete supporting documentation.
- Manage cash distribution activities in line with IRC procedures.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems for all financial documents.
- Scan, extract, and provide audit and donor‑visit documentation as required.
- Contact suppliers to collect bank letters and receive invoices.
- Enter daily financial transactions into the Integra system.
- Support audit activities by extracting and sharing required documents.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of cash, bank accounts and advances.
- Prepare regular follow‑up reports on outstanding advances and payments.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an advanced diploma in Accounting (preferred).
- Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attend the office daily.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Integra financial system.
