Distribution Center Coordinator

About the role

The Distribution Center Coordinator oversees daily operations of a multi‑site distribution network, ensuring orders are dispatched accurately and on time while maintaining strict inventory control. The role combines leadership, process optimisation and cross‑functional coordination to support growth and minimise risk.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full order dispatch cycle – receiving, picking, packing and delivery preparation.
• Monitor and optimise daily job flows, staff schedules and task assignments.
• Improve warehouse layout for better space utilisation and safety.
• Review, redesign and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for dispatch, receiving, inventory and documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service and Factory teams to align workflows.
• Train, supervise and mentor warehouse staff on systems, procedures and safety practices.
• Implement FIFO and other inventory protocols, ensuring accurate data entry in the ERP.
• Generate and archive delivery notes, invoices and dispatch documents.
• Provide regular reports on order fulfilment rates, delays and inventory discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in warehousing or logistics, preferably in retail or FMCG.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive change and improve processes.
• Strong organisational, communication and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory systems.
• Experience using ERP warehouse software.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
