Development Estimation Engineer – Lighting Industry

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Development Estimation Engineer with a strong background in the B2B lighting sector. You will analyse project specifications, develop accurate cost estimates and support the design team to deliver optimized lighting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project specifications, BOQs, product selections and technical details.
• Prepare commercial offers, technical sub‑mittals and cost analyses.
• Communicate with lighting suppliers and assist the design team in selecting appropriate items.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure timely submission of estimates and documentation.
• Track market pricing, competition and support value‑engineering activities.
• Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors and the commercial department to obtain quotes.
• Manage bid preparation, clarify tender conditions and monitor bid alignment with company requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project estimation within the lighting industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven and capable of working under deadlines.
