Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric

About the role

Sucafina is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to design, build, and operate modern data platforms that support the coffee supply chain. You will work with OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Power BI to deliver trusted, high‑performance datasets for analytics at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage Lakehouses (Delta Lake) and Fabric Data Warehouses.
• Develop batch and near‑real‑time data pipelines and Dataflows Gen2.
• Create notebook‑based transformations using PySpark and SQL, and write SQL stored procedures for data‑warehouse workloads.
• Implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) and publish certified semantic models for Power BI.
• Optimize storage and compute in OneLake, tune Spark and SQL workloads, and implement monitoring, alerting, and retry mechanisms.
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance with sensitivity labels, row‑level/column‑level security, and Managed Identities.
• Use Fabric Git integration and deployment pipelines for CI/CD across development, test, and production environments.
