Costing and Accounting Officer

About the role

We are seeking an organized and analytical Costing and Accounting Officer to support daily factory operations. The role involves calculating production inputs, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for furniture and interior projects.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate raw material consumption, labor hours, machine usage, accessories, and finishing requirements.
• Assist in preparing quotations and project budgets.
• Monitor actual production costs and track raw material usage against approved Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Prepare detailed project cost estimations and accurate BOMs for all furniture and interior projects.
• Verify supplier quotations and purchase requests.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports.
• Report directly to the Factory Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in costing or accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Nigeria.
