Contracts Engineer – Beirut

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will oversee the full lifecycle of EPC contracts for projects based in Beirut. The role ensures contractual compliance, mitigates risks, and supports the project teams in delivering on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, review, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal regulations.
• Assist in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Manage variations, claims, and change orders, overseeing evaluation, documentation, and approval processes.
• Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and project teams to align contract terms with operational and financial objectives.
• Monitor regulatory and legal compliance, staying updated on EPC contract laws and industry standards.
• Prepare regular reports on contract performance, risks, and compliance for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration within EPC, construction, or infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, EPC/EPCM agreements, subcontractor and procurement contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in the EPC sector.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
