Cloud Engineer (Microsoft Azure & Google Cloud Platform)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cloud Engineer with 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. The role involves designing, deploying, securing and automating enterprise‑scale cloud infrastructure while collaborating with software engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity and solution architecture teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain cloud environments on Azure and GCP.
• Provision and manage virtual machines, storage, networking, databases and managed services.
• Perform sizing, capacity planning, cost and resource optimization.
• Build highly available and scalable architectures; manage subscriptions, projects, resource groups, virtual networks and identity services.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Configure and manage virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, route tables, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, Cloud VPN, load balancers, application gateway, Azure Firewall, DNS and private endpoints; troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Deploy and manage AKS and GKE clusters, containerize applications with Docker, configure ingress controllers, implement autoscaling, monitor and upgrade clusters.
• Manage API publishing, security policies, rate limiting, OAuth/JWT, monitoring and lifecycle using Azure API Management or Google Apigee.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD; automate infrastructure and application deployments.
• Develop reusable infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep and YAML; automate provisioning across environments.
• Implement cloud security best practices with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Security Center, IAM, RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault and secrets management; work with SOC to investigate alerts.
• Support operations through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Google Cloud Operations Suite, incident management and performance tuning.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of practical experience with Azure and GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, Kubernetes and containerization.
• Passion for automation, troubleshooting and continuous learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional engineering and security teams.
• Experience with cost and capacity optimization in cloud environments.
