Clinical Psychologist for GBV Survivors (Consultant)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide specialized mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to women and girls who are survivors of gender‑based violence (GBV). Working within a UNICEF‑funded project in BML, the consultant will deliver individual and group therapy, conduct clinical assessments, and supervise case workers to ensure survivor‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct face‑to‑face one‑on‑one and group counseling sessions for GBV survivors.
• Perform structured clinical assessments, develop case formulations, and create treatment plans with clear objectives and timelines.
• Monitor and evaluate psychological progress, maintaining strict confidentiality in line with GBV guiding principles.
• Provide clinical supervision and coaching to case workers, enhancing their capacity to manage complex GBV cases.
• Document intake assessments, treatment recommendations, follow‑up notes, and submit detailed reports after each session or field visit.
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing survivor status, feedback, concerns, and recommendations.

Required profile

• Licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience working with women and girls affected by GBV.
• Proven ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy standards in humanitarian settings.
• Experience supervising or coaching non‑clinical staff on mental health matters.
