Captain Waiter (Overnight Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Captain Waiter to lead the overnight service at our Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Beirut. The role involves coordinating banquet and restaurant operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness throughout the night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate service needs to chefs and stewards for all functions.
• Prepare and present checks to group contacts and handle payments.
• Set up banquet rooms, restaurants and coffee breaks, ensuring proper centerpieces and table settings.
• Inspect and ensure cleanliness of china, glassware, and silverware before use.
• Address guest requests, dietary restrictions and special needs, relaying them to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and adhere to safety and security policies.
• Uphold uniform standards, professional appearance and confidentiality of company information.
• Assist with lifting, moving and arranging items up to 25 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Support team communication, answer telephone calls courteously and foster positive working relationships.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar food‑and‑beverage or banquet service role.
• Ability to work the overnight shift and handle physical demands of the position.
• Good command of English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety procedures and confidentiality requirements.
